QUALITY INN SAVANNAH HISTORIC DISTRICT, Savannah – Your ideal downtown stay

My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. While the rooms were clean and in a great location close to all the historical landmarks and the Savannah River, sadly, the housekeeping and the state of the beds were not up to standard. The staff was a bit hit and miss, with some being friendly and helpful, but others hanging up the phone when trying to find the poorly marked office. The location was excellent, convenient to all the attractions, but the noise from partygoers at all hours was a downside. The dining options were limited, although the Dutch products were a nice touch.

The hotel has rooms that open into the outside like a typical motel but in need of upgrades, especially the malfunctioning bathroom. Upon arrival, it was cold and required turning on the heating unit. Nevertheless, the rooms were clean with nice views. The service was extremely friendly and helpful, with responsive employees who even refunded $100 due to room cleanliness concerns. The location, although needing a facelift with improvements in parking and pillows, offers proximity to the Boardwalk and a lively atmosphere. The dining experience was great with a variety of food choices, including awesome biscuits and grits. The facilities need improvements but are sufficient for a comfortable stay.

Upon arrival, I found the hotel to be conveniently located near Bay Street and River Street, making it easy to explore Savannah. The service was exceptional, with the staff being incredibly helpful and polite. However, the room was disappointing as it appeared worn and dirty, leaving me feeling uncomfortable during my stay. Despite this, the location and service were definite highlights of my experience.
